BACKGROUND
A large City Council required specialist technology capability to support a complex portfolio of enterprise and transformation initiatives.
The environment spanned the Council’s Enterprise Business Platform, EIS project, enterprise integration roadmap and the transition to a cloud-based Information Insights platform.
To strengthen delivery across these programs, Leaders IT provided complementary specialists covering Azure DevOps, Azure Integration and Azure Reporting, adding technical capacity and continuity across multiple streams of work.
The engagement required specialists capable of working across architecture, platforms, development, project delivery and Council subject matter experts, while supporting effective knowledge transfer and ongoing internal ownership.
SOLUTION
Leaders IT mobilised specialist Microsoft capability across three connected areas:
1. Azure DevOps and application lifecycle support
Specialist capability supported repository and pipeline strategy, CI/CD, automated testing and deployment, environment and access administration, troubleshooting, scripting and technical documentation.
This also extended to the management of Power Apps, Power Automate and Dynamics 365 solutions through source control, pipelines and release management, supporting more consistent and governed application lifecycle processes.
2. Azure Integration
Integration specialists supported the Council’s roadmap through the design and development of reusable integration services.
Capability covered Azure Integration Services, Node.js/C#, REST/SOAP and hybrid technologies, alongside standards, detailed designs, unit testing and transition activities.
3. Data, reporting and analytics
Leaders IT supported the Council’s Information Insights capability through data-source and reporting reviews, semantic data models, Power BI reports and dashboards, business validation and optimisation.
Training and skills transfer were incorporated into delivery to support operational handover and strengthen internal capability.
