About the Role:
The Agile Team Lead plays a pivotal role in embedding Agile principles, practices, and behaviours across delivery teams, ensuring consistent adherence to Agile standards throughout the delivery life cycle. This role provides hands-on leadership across planning, development, testing, and implementation, guiding high-performing, cross-functional teams to deliver outcomes efficiently while driving continuous improvement in Agile execution and delivery maturity.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end planning, development, testing, and implementation activities of cross-functional Agile teams, continuously identifying opportunities to improve delivery effectiveness
- Provide Iteration Management and Scrum Master services across one or more delivery teams, ensuring consistent Agile execution
- Drive iteration ceremonies and delivery cadence, promoting strong engagement and adoption of Agile practices across teams and the wider organisation
- Build, coach, and develop team capability to enhance individual performance and create high-performing, self-organising technical teams
- Work closely with Project Managers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and delivery teams to effectively manage scope within iterations
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience working within Agile environments, applying Agile standards, frameworks, and delivery techniques
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end software development life cycle (SDLC) across planning, build, test, and release phases
- Hands-on experience performing Iteration Manager and/or Scrum Master responsibilities on large-scale initiatives involving multiple delivery teams
- Established capability in leading, facilitating, and governing Agile delivery environments to drive consistent outcomes
- Exposure to DevOps practices, including CI/CD automation and modern delivery pipelines
