We are partnering with the client to identify a talented AWS Engineer to join an exciting project supporting a major Services Australia contact centre implementation. This full-time opportunity is based on-site at various locations, with flexible work arrangements available during the contract period. The role is offered on a contractual basis for a specified duration, working within a dynamic, multi-vendor environment dedicated to delivering highly available, secure, and scalable cloud platforms crucial for national customer engagement services.

As the selected candidate, you will:

  • Design, build, and support AWS infrastructure to enable large-scale contact centre solutions.
  • Implement and manage cloud services across compute, networking, storage, security, and monitoring.
  • Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Support continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, ensuring automated deployment processes.
  • Collaborate closely with solution architects, DevOps, security teams, and delivery partners to meet strict government standards for performance, resilience, and compliance.
  • Assist with troubleshooting, incident response, and performance optimisation efforts.
  • Ensure platforms adhere to government security, compliance, and data sovereignty requirements.
  • Contribute to documentation, standards, and operational runbooks to enhance ongoing support and knowledge sharing.
To be successful in this role you should have:

  • Strong hands-on experience as an AWS Engineer within enterprise environments.
  • Solid knowledge of core AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS, S3, Lambda, and CloudWatch.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
  • Infrastructure as Code expertise, with Terraform experience preferred.
  • An understanding of networking, security patterns, and monitoring in cloud environments.
  • Experience supporting customer-facing or contact centre platforms such as Amazon Connect is highly regarded.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across large delivery programs.
It is desirable if you have:

  • Delivery experience within government or regulated environments.
  • AWS certification(s).
  • Exposure to contact centre modernization initiatives.
  • Experience working in large-scale, complex transformation projects.
