About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Digital Business Analyst to support a key green infrastructure initiative in local government. This role is critical to the transition of a current digital tool to an internal platform, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and enhanced user experience.
The successful candidate will lead a discovery phase to document the current (“as-is”) solution and define the future state (“to-be”) including functional specifications and wireframes. Your insights will directly inform the next project phase, ensuring accurate estimation of time, cost, and scope.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct analysis of the current digital solution, including workflows, technology, and calculations.
- Develop future-state designs, wireframes, and functional documentation.
- Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to align digital outcomes with user needs.
- Facilitate workshops to gather requirements and validate outputs.
- Support the preparation of business cases and transition planning documentation.
You are a highly capable Business Analyst with a strong digital background and experience delivering complex projects in a government or large enterprise environment. You have a methodical approach, excellent communication skills, and a passion for user-centric solutions.
Skills & Experience
- 5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2–3 years in digital project environments.
- Experience with digital solution mapping, data flow design, and stakeholder engagement.
- Proven ability to deliver clear functional specifications and user stories.
- Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and design thinking.
- Proficient in Jira and Confluence.
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Previous experience in local government or customer-facing digital transformation projects.
- Exposure to vendor engagement and transition planning.
- Understanding of BDD, TDD, and broader testing methodologies.
