Key Responsibilities
• Lead the enterprise integration of a newly acquired platform through end-to-end technology strategy, architecture design, roadmap governance, and secure systems enablement.
• Provide executive leadership across platform vision, integration milestones, infrastructure dependencies, and value delivery through architecture-led prioritisation.
• Embed structured hypothesis-led decision-making, with deep commercial acumen, to guide integration direction and investment.
• Govern continuous improvement of the integrated platform across system performance, reliability, experience, and security domains.
• Champion technical strategy and interlock across customer experience, operations, digital product, cyber, and enterprise data services.
• Operate as the principal interface between Technology & Data and other executive functions — delivering compelling narratives, strategic guidance, and architectural vision.
• Convene and lead forums with GMs, EGMs and external stakeholders to resolve architectural trade-offs, investment prioritisation, and program acceleration challenges.
• Actively facilitate co-design, discovery, retrospectives, and alignment forums to ensure platform direction remains aligned to both customer expectations and enterprise ambition.
• Ensure customer needs, pain points, and expectations are deeply embedded into platform strategy and feature roadmap via insights, user research, and market data.
• Design and implement adoption strategies, user journeys, and technical pathways that deliver a secure, frictionless, and scalable experience for internal and external users.
• Drive customer-centric decision-making at scale, including enterprise-wide accessibility, reliability, UX design and support capabilities.
• Actively scan the horizon for emerging technology opportunities, competitive platforms, and external shifts that impact Australia Post’s strategic positioning.
• Use benchmarking and global reference scanning to identify threats and guide architectural evolution to future-proof Australia Post’s capabilities.
• Shape architectural and experience design standards based on observed innovation across logistics, digital self-service, identity, and parcel automation sectors.
• Accountable for managing the financial performance and ROI of the platform integration, including budget oversight, vendor contract governance, and strategic investment planning
• Lead business case development, scenario modelling (e.g., parcel weights, locker throughput), and long-range financial benefit tracking.
• Set and monitor enterprise-level OKRs and KPIs for platform adoption, service performance, and financial outcomes
• Maintain a clearly sequenced and value-aligned backlog of architecture and platform initiatives, with appropriate trade-offs across feasibility, experience, risk, and commercial return.
• Govern scope control, sequencing, and reprioritisation of initiatives, ensuring resourcing is focused on highest-leverage opportunities.
• Accept or reject integration deliverables based on security, technical quality, adoption metrics, and architecture coherence
• Serve as the platform’s external-facing leader — accountable for communicating progress, risks, trade-offs, and value delivery to senior executives, board subcommittees, and external delivery partners.
• Maintain clear, consistent channels of communication across functions to ensure momentum, transparency, and stakeholder confidence.
Skills and Experience
• Extensive leadership experience in within large, complex
• Deep expertise in leading multi-year transformations and product/platform lifecycle programs, including architectural governance and operational enablement.
• Proven success in delivering enterprise-scale technology integration with strong commercial, security, and interoperability outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to build “trusted advisor” relationships with senior internal executives, business owners, and external partners.
• Experience influencing board-level or C-suite stakeholders on platform, integration, and strategic technology investment matters.
• Strong track record of leading high-performing cross-functional teams — including architecture, data, operations, and digital — through periods of high ambiguity and change.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks, integration patterns, cyber security standards, and modern digital infrastructure.
• Familiarity with technology practices, procurement governance, and regulatory requirements in essential services sectors.
• Commercial acumen to connect architectural and technology choices with financial outcomes and long-range value creation.
• Understanding of platform business models, customer-facing digital services, and innovation ecosystems.
