The role:
We’re seeking a Cloud / DevOps Engineer to support and enhance an Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) environment hosting internally developed application platforms. This is a great opportunity for someone with solid Azure and Kubernetes foundations who wants to deepen their experience across cloud operations, DevOps practices, infrastructure automation, and container platforms.
In this role, you’ll work closely with development, infrastructure, and security teams to help maintain a reliable, secure, and scalable Azure environment.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting and maintaining AKS clusters running internal business applications
- Deploying, managing, and troubleshooting containerised workloads
- Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps
- Managing container build and release processes using Docker and Azure Container Registry
- Using Bicep for infrastructure as code and repeatable deployments
- Monitoring platform health using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Container Insights, and Grafana
Key experience:
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
- Experience supporting Kubernetes, ideally AKS
- Experience with Azure Container Registry
- Strong understanding of Docker and container lifecycle concepts
- Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines
- Experience with Bicep for infrastructure as code
- Linux administration
- Experience with kubectl and k9s
- Exposure to Helm, YAML manifests, and Git-based deployment workflows
- Understanding of private AKS clusters, ingress, and internal load balancers
- Familiarity with PowerShell and/or Bash
