About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Report Test Engineer with expertise in Power BI and Microsoft Dynamics 365 to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in testing data models, analytics, and reporting solutions across enterprise data platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Execute comprehensive testing of data models and transformations across analytics and reporting layers.
- Validate data integrity and accuracy within Data Warehouses and Data Lakes.
- Perform functional and regression testing of Power BI reports and data extracts.
- Partner with business analysts and developers to ensure business logic and requirements are accurately represented within schematic data models.
- Leverage advanced SQL skills to query, validate, and troubleshoot complex data issues across multiple data sources.
- Support and enhance ETL testing activities, contributing to the validation and quality assurance of end-to-end data pipelines.
- Utilise Microsoft Fabric and other modern data platforms and tools.
- Expertise in data modelling and transformation testing within complex analytics environments.
- Proven hands-on experience testing Data Warehouse and Data Lake solutions using schematic data models.
- Ability in validating and testing Power BI reports to ensure accuracy, performance, and business alignment.
- Understanding of ETL processes and tools, with practical experience in Microsoft Fabric highly regarded.
- Advanced SQL capabilities for querying, validating, and troubleshooting data across multiple sources.
- Experience with modern data and analytics tools such as Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and dbt.
- Ability to interpret business requirement models and rigorously test them against technical data models to ensure full alignment.
