Enterprise Data & Information ArchitectQueensland Government | Contract

An exciting contract opportunity for an experienced Enterprise Data & Information Architect to shape and govern enterprise‑wide data architecture within a Queensland Government department. This role focuses on enabling secure, trusted and accessible data to support decision‑making and digital service delivery.

The role You will define enterprise data strategies, architecture standards and roadmaps, and lead the adoption of modern data platforms. Working across multiple delivery teams and vendors, you will help deliver complex data integration, governance, quality and analytics programs.
Key responsibilities
  • Develop and govern enterprise data architecture strategies, principles and roadmaps
  • Design scalable, secure data models across operational, integration and analytics platforms
  • Lead modern data platform architecture including Microsoft Dataverse, Microsoft Fabric, Purview and Power BI
  • Define data integration patterns (ELT/ETL, API, streaming, event‑driven)
  • Establish enterprise data governance, quality standards, metadata, lineage and MDM/RDM
  • Ensure compliance with government information security, privacy and retention requirements
  • Provide architectural leadership and design assurance across delivery teams
About you
  • Proven enterprise data architecture and governance experience
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Dataverse, Fabric and Power BI
  • Expertise in data modelling, cloud‑based data platforms and integration patterns
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills across business, IT and vendors
  • Experience delivering complex data programs and roadmaps
  • Public sector experience desirable but not essential
  • Relevant certifications highly regarded
