Our client is seeking a talented and inquisitive Data Scientist with a strong foundation in statistics to join their People Data & Insights team. Reporting to the Principal Data Scientist, you will play a key role in applying advanced statistical modelling, hypothesis testing, and data-driven techniques to design and implement innovative solutions that inform strategic workforce decisions. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop predictive models and algorithms using advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to support people-related insights and decision-making.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis, hypothesis testing, and feature engineering across diverse Human Resources datasets.
- Build and maintain scalable data pipelines from source systems through to model deployment.
- Translate analytical outcomes into actionable insights and communicate findings through engaging visualisations and reports.
- Share knowledge and support capability uplift across the team by mentoring, documentation, and training on analytics tools and techniques.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline with strong coding skills in Python, R, and/or SQL.
- Proven experience delivering end-to-end data science projects, ideally involving workforce or behavioural data.
- Strong understanding of statistical analysis, machine learning methods (e.g. regression, clustering, classification), and relevant algorithm implementation.
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
