As the selected candidate, you will:
- Design and develop big data applications within Cloudera big data clusters, ensuring they meet business requirements and architecture standards.
- Administer and support big data clusters, including Hortonworks, Cloudera, and open-source big data ecosystems, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Build robust, efficient, and reliable data pipelines that aggregate data from diverse sources for ingestion and processing on cloud platforms.
- Provide technical expertise for ongoing initiatives, collaborating with project stakeholders to devise the most feasible solutions.
- Assist in troubleshooting, maintaining, and debugging applications in production environments to ensure smooth operation.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of big data systems and processes through innovative technical solutions.
- Proven experience in the implementation, configuration, and support of Hadoop environments.
- Strong background in designing, developing, and implementing big data applications.
- Proficiency in Java, Spring, Python, Shell scripting, and familiarity with DevOps tools such as Git, Bamboo, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Hands-on experience with building and administering open-source big data platforms.
- Good knowledge of SQL, debugging skills, and experience working in production environments.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects effectively.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills to keep teams and stakeholders updated on project progress.
- Experience working with cloud platforms and data ingestion processes.
- A degree in Information Technology or a related field.
