About the Role:
We’re seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to guide a team of engineers in delivering reliable, scalable, and high-performing systems within a federal government environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a squad of engineers in service reliability and DevOps practices
- Manage incidents, post-incident reviews, and drive automation
- Maintain observability, monitoring, and infrastructure standards
- Collaborate with technical leads and stakeholders on engineering outcomes
Required Skills
- Strong experience with Dynatrace or Splunk
- Scripting with SPL, SQL, Python, or DQL
- Proficient with AWS and/or Azure
- Experience in leading DevOps/SRE/infra ops teams
- Solid knowledge of incident management and reliability engineering
- Ability to enforce engineering standards and governance
Desirable Criteria:
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience influencing both technical and non-technical teams.
- Background in large-scale enterprise or government environments.
Other Requirements:
Australian citizenship is mandatory.
