About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Midrange Developer to join a high-performing Agile delivery team focused on building and supporting enterprise-scale digital services.
This role is ideal for a hands-on .NET Developer who enjoys working across the full software development lifecycle, from analysis and design through to development, testing, deployment and support. You will work within a collaborative DevOps environment, contributing to modern cloud-based solutions and secure digital services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and support applications using C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core and Visual Studio.
- Develop and maintain REST APIs and microservices-based solutions.
- Contribute to solution design and technical discussions within Agile delivery teams.
- Build, enhance and support enterprise applications hosted in cloud environments.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment and production support activities.
- Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver high-quality technical solutions.
- Investigate incidents, troubleshoot defects and implement sustainable fixes.
- Manage source code using Git and contribute to CI/CD deployment processes.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation.
- Strong commercial experience developing applications using C#, .NET Core/.NET, ASP.NET Core and Web APIs.
- Experience with SQL Server, T-SQL and database development.
- Experience building RESTful services and microservices-based applications.
- Experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms.
- Experience using Azure DevOps, Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles and design patterns.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery teams.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Authentication and authorisation technologies.
- OpenID Connect, OAuth2, JWT or Identity Management solutions.
- Docker and containerisation technologies.
- PowerShell scripting.
- Automated testing frameworks.
- Angular, React or Vue experience.
- Experience within large enterprise or government environments.
- Australian Citizenship is required.
- Must hold an active Baseline Security Clearance.
- Ability to work in a Canberra-based hybrid environment (3 Days Onite)
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical deliverables.
- Collaborative team player with a willingness to mentor junior developers.
