An experienced Privacy Specialist is required to support a portfolio of digital initiatives within the health sector. This role will oversee privacy compliance, manage Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), and provide expert guidance on privacy and data ethics in a complex and sensitive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage PIAs for digital solutions, ensuring compliance with privacy and records management policies and legislation.
- Align security and privacy programs, ensuring robust policies, practices, and monitoring processes are in place.
- Identify and escalate privacy risks, provide mitigation strategies, and ensure the protection of patient and personal information.
- Monitor, investigate, and report inappropriate access or disclosure of information, and lead education and awareness activities.
- Liaise with regulatory and oversight bodies on privacy matters.
- Provide expert advice and mentoring in privacy practices across the digital health space.
- Ensure digital business solutions align with strategic direction, standards, and protocols.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in privacy, governance, or a related field.
- Relevant qualifications in privacy, governance, or information management.
- Strong understanding of privacy legislation and ability to apply it in practice.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Previous health sector experience highly regarded.
