About the Role
As the Special Projects Lead, you will coordinate and deliver complex, cross‑functional projects that strengthen asset management capability and embed recognised best‑practice standards across the organisation. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high standard.
This is a senior, visible role requiring strong leadership, governance discipline, and the ability to influence outcomes across diverse stakeholder groups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of a framework for ISO 55000:2024 Asset Management certification, championing adoption across the organisation
  • Project manage Data Enrichment and Digital Thread initiatives to improve asset data quality and integration
  • Establish effective project governance, controls, and reporting
  • Lead and manage multi‑disciplinary project teams delivering complex and high‑risk initiatives
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal stakeholders, ICT teams, asset owners, and external service providers
  • Present project updates, risks, and recommendations through formal reports and presentations to senior stakeholders and committees
  • Manage project risks, resources, schedules, milestones, costs, and quality assurance in line with organisational frameworks
  • Identify cost‑effective solutions by leveraging ICT capabilities, enterprise systems, and external expertise
  • Support continuous improvement and uplift of contemporary asset management practices
About You You are a confident and structured project leader who thrives in complex environments and is motivated by delivering sustainable improvements. You bring a strong understanding of infrastructure asset management and the ability to translate strategy into practical outcomes.

You will have:
  • Demonstrated experience as a Project Manager, or as a Business Analyst with significant project management experience
  • Strong understanding of contemporary asset management principles
  • Experience contributing to or leading asset management maturity uplift
  • Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong governance, risk, and delivery discipline
  • Alignment with leadership capability expectations, particularly Vision and Impact
Mandatory Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management (or equivalent experience)
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Check
