About the Role
We are seeking an experienced SAP Extensions Lead to take ownership of all SAP extension development and integration activities across a modern SAP S/4HANA ecosystem. This is a senior hands‑on leadership role responsible for managing SAP BTP, ABAP, Fiori/UI5 and integration developments, while leading a team of SAP developers through project delivery and post‑go‑live transition to BAU and AMS support.
You will play a critical role in ensuring SAP extensions are well‑governed, production‑ready, traceable, and fully supportable, working closely with ERP, integration, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of SAP developers delivering SAP extensions and enhancements
- Own and govern SAP extensibility across ABAP, SAP BTP, Fiori/UI5 and integrations
- Manage and maintain an SAP Extensibility Register and traceability matrix using SAP CALM
- Provide oversight of technical design, development, testing, release, and deployment
- Troubleshoot and remediate SAP BTP integration errors, workflow failures, and escalations
- Ensure all developments comply with SAP best practices and S/4HANA standards
- Coordinate transition of developments from project delivery into BAU and AMS support
- Provide warranty support for in‑house developments post go‑live
- Engage stakeholders and communicate complex technical concepts in clear business terms
- Substantial senior experience working in SAP S/4HANA ERP environments (project and/or support)
- Strong background in SAP integrations, ABAP development, SAP BTP, and Fiori/UI5
- Proven experience in end‑to‑end SAP implementations in a process‑driven environment
- Demonstrated experience leading matrix or virtual technical teams
- Strong understanding of service‑oriented and integration architectures
- Experience contributing to SAP solution roadmaps and future‑state designs
- Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- ABAP & OO‑ABAP, enhancements (BAdIs, User Exits), ALV reports
- Debugging and performance tuning
- SAP S/4HANA & HANA – data models, CDS Views, AMDP, SQLScript
- Knowledge of RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model)
- SAP Fiori / SAPUI5, OData services, UX‑driven development
- Integration & APIs – IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, REST/SOAP, SAP Integration Suite (CPI)
- SAP BTP – BAS, side‑by‑side extensions, security and authentication
- DevOps & tools – CTS, ChaRM, SAP CALM
