Peoplebank is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager for an initial contract of 6 months to work with one of our clients, based in the Adelaide CBD.

Whilst there is a hybrid work policy, this is NOT a fully remote role. You must be based in SA and have full Australian work rights.

Overview
The successful Senior Project Manager will lead the delivery of assigned projects within the Interoperability Program, reporting to the Program Director. The role manages day-to-day delivery across technical, clinical and operational stakeholders, Local Health Networks, IT contractors, suppliers, consultants and the Australian Digital Health Agency, to deliver improved information access and integration of clinical systems in alignment with the National Healthcare Interoperability Plan, against agreed scope, schedule, budget and quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for leading and contributing through:
• Stakeholder engagement (supporting the Program Director at executive level) including internal business units, technical teams, suppliers and consultants.
• Governance and project status reporting
• Planning, scheduling and on-going tracking of progress
• Risk Management
• Issue analysis and resolution
• Support model planning and execution
• Deployment planning and execution
• Quality Assurance
• Delivery of assigned projects against agreed Commonwealth funding milestones, including healthcare identifiers, provider directories and FHIR-based services
• Coordination of agile delivery with the development and test team, including Azure DevOps backlog, sprint and release governance
• Maintenance of program risk, issue and dependency registers
• Preparation of monthly status reports and Steering Committee papers
• Vendor engagement, purchase orders and contract administration
• Integration team and Local Health Networks

Skills and Experience
The person required for this position must have at a minimum, 5 years’ experience as a Senior Project Manager:
• Executive level Stakeholder Management
• Reporting to Executive Level Program Boards
• Significant experience in working with stakeholders to document project plans, requirements and key project deliverables.
• Comprehensive end-to-end Project Management skills.
• Experience in delivering complex ICT projects, with a focus on healthcare systems and interoperability advantageous.
• Possess high quality written and verbal skills particularly the development of project documentation.
• Demonstrated experience in providing timely and accurate reporting on project activities.
• Ability to manage critical path and internal and external project dependencies.
• Demonstrated experience of risk & issue management in accordance with defined frameworks.
• Highly effective interpersonal skills, with proven ability to relate effectively to a diverse range of stakeholders and clients, negotiate successful outcomes in an innovative and resourceful manner, whilst maintaining a high standard of professional competence and an ethical approach.
• Demonstrated ability to lead change, preferably within a health care environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and vendor management skills.
• Proven experience in ICT procurement processes.
• Experience in MS Project and/or Azure DevOps, and hybrid agile and waterfall delivery.
• Knowledge of ICT Strategy & Standards Frameworks.
• Knowledge of Program Office processes, guidelines, work instructions and Governance outcomes.
• Foundation Certification in the PRINCE2 project management methodology, trained in PMBOK and / or PMI or AIPM certification would be desirable.
• Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards and national digital health infrastructure (for example HL7 v2, FHIR, My Health Record and the Healthcare Identifiers Service) would be desirable.
• Experience reporting against Commonwealth or other external funding milestones would be desirable.
• Experience working with agile software development and test teams would be desirable.
