Multiple industry leading clients in both the mining AND utilities sectors client based in the Perth CBD that is currently working on state-of-the-art technology projects.
The role
We are seeking multiple Software Solution Architect with hands on development experience to design and deliver bespoke software development solutions. These are initial 6-month contracts based in the Perth CBD.
Responsibilities
- Produce detailed technical designs that are ready to build
- Translate high-level requirements into detailed design specifications
- Define microservices, event-driven interactions, APIs and data models
- Apply architectural patterns such as event-driven architecture, actor model and distributed systems design
- Lead design walkthroughs, reviews, and technical decision-making
- Collaborate with business stakeholders regarding project requirements
Key skills
- Experience working as a Software Architect OR as a Senior developer who has fulfilled architectural duties
- Previous experience working in the mining industry on bespoke software development is essential
- A technical, hands-on software development in some of the following areas including:
- C#/ .NET Core
- Java, Kafka, Kotlin AND/ OR Clojure
- Messaging systems such as RabbitMQ OR similar (e.g.: Kafka OR Azure Service Bus)
- Previous experience with GitHub and API design (Async, REST)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience working on fleet management projects is advantageous
- Relevant industry certifications/ education would be beneficial
- Experience working on Distributed Energy Resources ( DER) projects
- Experience working on fleet management projects AND/ OR autonomous solutions (or similar) in the mining/ utilities sectors
- Previous experience working in the Banking industry(on complex live data system update projects) may be considered if lacking mining/ utilities
