This role requires a professional who can bridge the gap between business and technical teams by evaluating current systems, documenting functional requirements, and ensuring that technology solutions align with business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate, analyze, and document business requirements, functional requirements, and system specifications.
- Consult with stakeholders to identify business needs, objectives, and operational challenges.
- Conduct workshops, interviews, and requirement-gathering sessions with business users and technical teams.
- Perform business process mapping, gap analysis, and impact assessments to identify opportunities for system enhancements.
- Develop and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), use cases, workflow diagrams, and user stories.
- Evaluate existing systems and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, performance, and user experience.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, and testing teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Support Agile delivery activities including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and stakeholder reviews.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities and ensure solutions meet business expectations.
- Analyze system defects, investigate root causes, and work with technical teams to implement resolutions.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new systems, enhancements, and process automation initiatives.
- Produce reports and insights to support data-driven business decisions.
- Ensure all documentation complies with organizational standards and governance requirements.
- Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or a closely related role.
- Strong experience in requirements elicitation, stakeholder management, and process analysis.
- Demonstrated experience creating BRDs, FRDs, use cases, process flows, and user stories.
- Experience working within Agile and Scrum environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience supporting testing activities including SIT, UAT, defect management, and release readiness.
- Strong knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, and reporting tools.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
