The Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Lead / Coordinator to oversee a team of 5–7 IT service professionals delivering a 24x7 support service. Operating primarily on standard business hours, this role also carries an on-call responsibility to support escalations and Major Incident Management outside of standard hours.
You will be the critical link between your team, stakeholders, and the broader IT organisation — ensuring service levels are met, incidents are resolved efficiently, and the support model continues to mature.
 
Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor and manage a team of 5–7 staff providing 24x7 IT service coverage
  • Develop and maintain team rosters to ensure appropriate coverage at all times
  • Own escalation management and maintain effective stakeholder engagement
  • Participate in and coordinate Major Incident Management (P1/P2) as required
  • Support and facilitate the IT Change Management process
  • Ensure Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) compliance in all service delivery activities
  • Monitor operational performance and steer the team to meet target SLAs
  • Identify Continuous Service Improvement (CSI) opportunities and drive maturity of the support model
  • Provide on-call support for escalations and MIM outside of standard business hours
 
Key Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in IT Service Delivery
  • Strong coordination, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven team management and leadership capability
  • Sound knowledge of ITIL and IT Service Management frameworks
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow
 
Desirable Experience
  • Background in Mining and/or Operations Centre environments
  • Experience using Confluence as a Knowledge Base system
