We are partnering with a well-established Western Australian organisation embarking on the largest business and technology transformation program in its history.
As part of a multi-year HRMIS transformation, the organisation is replacing several legacy platforms across HR, Payroll, Workforce Management, Recruitment, Learning and Finance while simultaneously redesigning key business processes.
They are seeking an experienced Test Manager to take ownership of the end-to-end testing strategy and execution across the program. This role requires a senior testing professional who can operate at both a strategic and hands-on level, establish structure and governance, drive automation, and lead testing activities within challenging delivery timeframes.
The Role
As the Test Manager, you will be responsible for leading all testing activities across multiple workstreams and ensuring the successful delivery of a complex enterprise implementation.
Working closely with project stakeholders, business teams, change managers, delivery partners and vendors, you will define the testing approach, coordinate testing activities, and provide assurance that the solution is ready for deployment.
A key focus of the role will be introducing and leveraging test automation to improve efficiency and support a large testing scope within compressed testing windows.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the overall test strategy, framework and governance approach.
- Create and manage detailed test plans, schedules and testing deliverables.
- Lead System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), payroll parallel-run testing and production readiness activities.
- Establish and drive test automation initiatives across the program.
- Coordinate testing activities across HR, Payroll, Workforce Management, Recruitment, Learning and Finance functions.
- Oversee test case development, execution, defect management and reporting.
- Manage testing risks, issues, dependencies and remediation activities.
- Coach and support business stakeholders through UAT processes and testing best practices.
- Collaborate closely with implementation partners, project teams and business representatives to ensure successful delivery outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience leading testing for large-scale enterprise transformation programs.
- Strong background delivering testing outcomes across HRIS, HCM, Payroll or Workforce Management implementations.
- Extensive experience managing SIT, UAT, integration testing and payroll parallel-run testing.
- Proven ability to define and execute enterprise-wide test strategies and governance frameworks.
- Strong defect management, reporting and quality assurance experience.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to quickly understand complex environments and become operational with minimal ramp-up time.
- Experience with cloud-based HR and Payroll platforms.
- Knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, award interpretation and workforce management processes.
- ISTQB or equivalent testing certifications.
- Experience within aged care, healthcare, disability services, government or other highly regulated industries.
- Exposure to large-scale ERP, HR or workforce transformation programs.
