We’re looking for an experienced Radio Implementation Engineer to join a major network modernisation program supporting critical communications infrastructure across Australia.
This role will suit an engineer with hands-on experience in VHF/UHF radio systems, RF design, or telecommunications infrastructure who enjoys working across both design and deployment activities.
You’ll be working with a collaborative engineering team delivering mission-critical radio and network services, including VHF/UHF and ADS-B systems.
What You'll Be Doing
- Designing and planning radio and network equipment installations
- Supporting implementation of VHF/UHF and ADS-B radio systems
- Producing site designs, diagrams and technical documentation
- Conducting RF coverage and design analysis
- Supporting installation, commissioning and testing activities
- Performing site visits and installation assessments
- Supporting system cutovers and service transitions
- Working closely with network and systems engineers
- Experience working with VHF/UHF radio or RF systems
- Background in telecommunications, radio, or electronic engineering
- Experience with radio system integration or deployment
- Understanding of engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Experience working on infrastructure or communications projects
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to obtain Baseline Security Clearance
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related discipline
- Approximately 5 years relevant engineering experience
- Understanding of systems engineering or technical delivery environments
- Experience working with engineering documentation and design reviews
- Strong PC and Microsoft Office skills
- Experience with ADS-B or aviation communications
- Experience with routers and switches
- RF coverage or interference analysis experience
- Knowledge of WAN/LAN or TCP/IP networks
- AutoCAD or Visio experience
- Experience in Defence, aviation or mission-critical environments
